Turning a taap into a challenge is the simplest thing ever! Just taap something the way you normally do. On the last step of taaping something, just remember to turn the option of challenging your friends to “ON” and you’re done!

Hey guys, what’s taapin’? I’ll tell you what, our new iPhone update! We have now integrated a game function so our app can be more interactive, and useful for when you’re bored.
With our new game, you can now earn points easier than ever. Just answer questions correctly about your friends’ locked taaps on your Journal. You only have one chance, but if you guess correctly, the taap will become unlocked, and you’ll be rewarded with 10 Taap.it points! If you’re wrong, you won’t be able to guess again about that taap.
But you have to act quick! If you don’t unlock those taaps fast enough, your other friends will snatch them away before your eyes.
Now let’s talk about how to make your taap a challenge. It’s simple! After you taap something, on the screen you normally check to share your taaps on your other social media platforms, there will be an option that allows you to turn your taap into a challenge. Just switch the option to “ON” and you’re good to go.
This game will definitely spur your competitive spirit and test your knowledge about your interests. Can you tell the difference between Halal food from a cart and a restaurant? How about the difference between a Gucci handbag and one by Dolce and Gabbana? We at Taap.it say, take on the challenge!
We’ll keep you updated on other nifty goodies we added to the new version for the app. For now, go get the app, ‘cause we just rolled out the update today!
Did you go onto Taap.it today and think, what is this shiny new website where Taap.it used to be? Well, we called in the team and gave our site a much-needed makeover! No more cheesy ocean background, no more huge chunky list of unorganized items, we slimmed and sleeked down to the sexy thing it is now.
But never fear, it’s still us! Our appearance may have changed, but we’re still going to bring you the same awesome features we provided before, with a few improvements here and there to make your lives easier.
Here are some of the major changes:
- Our content has become much more organized! We now have a section for the most popular items and a section for the most recent items. So less sifting on your part.
- The categories of the old navigation bar are now on the left instead of the top, and it’s friendlier than ever! The new navigation bar on top give you quick and easy access to the Leaderboard and the Taap.it template (for taaping stuff, of course).
- The new layout includes the stream on the right-hand side, much like the one on your Feed on the iPhone app. Now, you’ll always be able to see what all your friends are taaping!
- We’ve also introduced the map. In case you’ve forgotten where you are, you’ll know, but you’ll also be able to tell right away where you can get all the precious taap.it items.
- If you haven’t noticed, going to Taap.it no longer shows the app landing page. Instead it takes you directly to our market page. To download our apps, click on “Free Mobile Apps,” under the new navigation bar.

Hey Taapers! This week we bring to you our long awaited release of Taap.it on the Android Market! (yaaaaaay, bring on the fanfare!)
We tried to bring to the Android the same great Taap.it experience you get on the iPhone version of the app; so, for the most part, the Android version is the same as the iPhone version of the app. Stay tuned for a step-by-step pictorial for the Android Taap.it! Also, I will blog about the differences shortly.

Where were you last night? We’ll let you know where you should have been:
At the tippity-top of our West 35th headquarters, Taap.it hosted the NY Creative Interns for a night of hiring companies looking for interns.
The creative, the ambitious and the talented ready to enter the work force had the chance to mingle with a network of corporations, focused on finding entry level jobs for recent college grads. Everyone from MTV to Razorfish had a table.
It was a storm of pitches and thirty-second introductions.
We also got a chance to hear from the wonderful keynote Reb Carlson of 360i talk about risks, opportunities and her way to the top!
Tonight: Taap.it is hosting the Third Wave Fashion Meetup for a panel of speakers and MORE mingling.
